As a surgeon, I saw how difficult it was to assess the outcomes of care reliably. Together with Rob Tollenaar and Michel Wouters, I co-founded the Dutch Institute for Clinical Auditing (DICA). As its director, I helped develop a nationwide system of clinical quality registries that enables care teams to learn from real-world outcomes.
As Executive Board Member at Quin, I contributed clinical expertise to board-level decisions, particularly on medical matters and stakeholder management. At XO Ventures, I assess healthcare and HealthTech opportunities for clinical relevance, applicability, market potential, the business case and differentiation, including intellectual property. At LOGEX, I combined advice with hands-on work on the development and implementation of international benchmarking for selected medical conditions.
